January 2001 - Advanced Environmental Options, Inc. (AEO) is founded by David Hitchens.

July 2001 - AEO provides disaster relief in Houston, TX after Hurricane Allison.

August 2001 - AEO moves out of Mr. Hitchens home into rented offices at 345 Winslow Avenue, Gaffney, SC.

December 2001 - AEO purchases its first tractor truck.

January 2002 - AEO receives Hazardous Materials Certificate of Registration from the U.S. Department of Transportation. 

February 2003 - AEO moves to a new 13,000 square foot rented facility at 867 Wilcox Avenue, Gaffney, SC.

July 2004 - AEO is certified as a Class I Underground Storage Tank Site Rehabilitation Contractor by South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC).

September 2005 - AEO provides disaster relief in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina.  AEO was contracted by St. Charles Office Building and Longvue House and Garden to provide cleanup and remediation services during the time evacuations were order due to the advancement of Hurricane Wilma.

October 2005 - AEO is awarded North Carolina, under purchase order, Clandestine Methamphetamine Laboratory cleanup by the Drug Enforcement Agency.

January 2006 - AEO is awarded Georgia, North and South Carolina, under blanket purchase order, Clandestine Methamphetamine Laboratory cleanup by the Drug Enforcement Agency.

February 2007 - AEO purchases and moves to a new 25,000 square foot facitity on 5.5 acres at 150 Franke Drive, Spartanburg, SC.  This new facility offers expanded warehouse space, training rooms and more office space.

September 2007 - AEO is awarded South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) contract for Emergency Cleanup and/or Emergency Sampling and Analytical Work.

March 2008 - AEO is awarded North Carolina contract for Clandestine Methamphetamine Laboratory cleanup by the Drug Enforcement Agency.

September 2008 - AEO provides disaster relief in Houston, TX in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike.

October 2008 - AEO purchases and moves to an approximately 60,000 square foot facitity on 15 acres at 25 Stan Perkins Road, Spartanburg, SC with a 350,000 waste water treatment system.  The 25,000 square foot facility located at 150 Franke Drive becomes our Recycling Center.

October 2008 - AEO is awarded the Federal Contract for the Veteran Administration Hospitals in Alabama. 

December 2008 - AEO receives a Partial Construction Approval from South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SCDHEC) to begin installation/modifications of equipment and storage tanks for Oil/Water Separating System, Treatment System and Storage Tanks for Biological and Physical/Chemical Treatment and all necessary appurtenances.

August 2009 - AEO receives acceptance letter from Spartanburg Sanitary Sewer District (SSSD) to begin wastewater discharge.

October 2009 - AEO is again awarded the Federal Contract for the Veteran Administration Hospitals in Alabama.

October 2009 - AEO is awarded North and South Carolina contracts for Clandestine Methamphetamine Laboratory cleanup by the Drug Enforcement Agency.

July 2010 - AEO becomes a registered Waste Tire Hauler in the state of South Carolina.  This registration gives AEO the opportunity to service completely new industries and to encourage further recycling. 

August 2010 - AEO receives a North Carolina Scrap Tire Hauler certificate.  We can now offer this new service in both North and South Carolina!

February 2011 - AEO receives a SC Dept. Labor, Licensing and Regulation Board of Pharmacy Non-Dispensing Drug Outlet Permit.  This is the first step in becoming a DEA registered Reverse Distributor.

March 2011 - AEO receives a South Carolina Controlled Substances Act Certificate of Registration from the SC Dept. of Health and Environmental Control's Bureau of Drug Control.  We are the first and only company to ever receive this certification in the state of South Carolina!  This is the second step in becoming a DEA registered Reverse Distributor.

March 2011 - AEO receives a Controlled Substance Registration Certificate from the United States Dept. of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration officially making AEO a Registered Reverse Distributor.
